Hommage à YSL {exhibit}

To commemorate the legendary Yves Saint Laurent, there is currently an exhibition of some of his best work at the "Musee du Petit Palais" in Paris. The exhibit contains 307 haute couture and ready-to-wear garnments but also a lot of other items like photographs, documents sketches, and films. The collection pays tribute to Yves Saint Laurent with emphasis on the period between 1969 to 2000. If you live in Paris or are going there soon you should definitely check it out, exhibit lasts until the 29th of august.

Here's a lovely video about the exhibit, sorry, c'est français!

Gaspard Yurkievich

Aren't they just gorgeous? I'm on the hunt for some awesome wedges like these beauties designed by Gaspard Yurkievich. I love the different straps and the fact that they're made out of different textures. Hmm let's hope I'll find a pair within my price range..
Let me know if you've seen any in the comments!

Lily Donaldson

{Shots from the video}

Matthew Donaldson, Lily's father, shot this video in 2 seconds with a super-high definition Phantom Gold HD which shot the video with a whopping 1000 frames per second. Her gorgeous hair was styled by Sam McKnight. Check out what he has to say about the video here.

McKnight&Donaldson's message: Life may be ephemeral and precious—but isn’t it beautiful?
They sure are a few beautiful minutes of footage.

Petal to the metal.

So lovely. I´ve been eyeing this bag (in brown) for a while now and then I saw it in this colour and completely fell for it. It's such a perfect size. And the matching wallet is so pretty. Unfortunately I don´t have €495 to spend on it!
Anyone feeling giving?

Rodarte Exhibition

{Natalie Portman at the exhibition}

The Cooper-Hewitt Museum is showing some amazing pieces created by the wonderful Mulleavy sisters. The brand has only been around for a few years but has become a great success, and what better way to whitness this yourself than at an exhibition?

Better step on it if you want to check it out! March 14th marks it's last day!
-And tickets aren't very expensive!
{If only I lived anywhere near it.}
